How we compare

FurnishPrice compares mattresses sold on Amazon.in by real size, price, materials and what owners say. This page explains where every number comes from.

Where prices come from

We read each product's Amazon.in listing and record its price, MRP and stock status. Every price on the site shows the date we checked it. Amazon prices change often, so the price on Amazon.in at checkout is the one that applies.

We only show a price if we checked it in the last 30 days. Older prices are hidden rather than shown out of date: those sizes show a "See price" link to the listing instead.

Sizes, materials and specifications

Specifications come from the Amazon.in listing for that exact size. When a seller's units are clearly wrong (for example "78 x 72 x 6 centimetres" for a king mattress), we use the size in the listing title instead and say so on the product page. If a listing doesn't state something, we leave it blank rather than guess.

Sizes of the same mattress are grouped into one model page, so you can compare every size and its price in one place.

Out-of-stock and discontinued mattresses

When a size is out of stock, or Amazon redirects a discontinued size to a different product, we hide it instead of showing an old price.

The FurnishPrice rating

Every mattress gets a FurnishPrice rating from 3 to 5 stars. It is our own score, calculated the same way for every model and size: owner satisfaction (30%), warranty (20%), value (20%), thickness (10%), popularity (10%), and clear specifications (10%). Value compares the price with what mattresses of the same size typically cost right now. Owner satisfaction comes from aggregate marketplace ratings, which we use in the score but do not display. It is not a lab test result: we don't physically test mattresses.

The Mattress Price Index

The index shows what a mattress of each size typically costs on Amazon.in: the median price and the range covering the middle 80% of listings, using only prices we checked in the last 30 days. Protectors, toppers and other accessories are excluded.
